Speyside Distillery and the Speyside Distillers Company is owned by Harvey’s of Edinburgh with a whisky family heritage since 1770.

Our name is synonymous with the world’s best-known whisky producing region, Speyside, and Speyside Distillery itself has been one of Scotland’s best kept secrets.

This small boutique distillery in the foothills of the Cairngorm Mountains on the outskirts of the village of Kingussie went into production in December 1990. Using traditional methods, which we still employ to this day, the distillery produces Single Malt for the SPEY and BEINN DUBH Brands as well as hand crafting BYRON’s GINs in a smaller single copper pot still since 2015.

The distillery is not open to the general public but our Award Winning Spirits are available at our Visitor Centre in Aviemore ‘THE SNUG’.  The Snug offers information and tasting sessions, a video of the distillery and an art gallery exhibiting works by local artist Joanna McDonough.

Here it is also possible for a limited number of visitors to book in for a private visit to the distillery, or check the Events page for more information.

The Snug is open throughout the year - Opening days and times may vary, please check in advance before visiting, or give us a call on 01479 810126

We look forward to welcoming you.
