SPEY Artists Collection Whisky
The SPEY Artists Collection is an exclusive collaboration between SPEY Single Malt Scotch Whisky from Speyside Distillery - now a lost distillery - and its talented Artist in Residence, Joanna McDonough. This limited-edition release features eight bespoke art editions, each inspired by one of Joanna’s striking abstract paintings from The Artists Collection. All eight editions showcase our single malt whisky from our artisan Speyside distillery - each presented in a distinct bottle adorned with one of Joanna’s original artworks.
Together, they celebrate the Scottish Highlands, uniting heritage, craftsmanship, and art inspired by the heart of the Cairngorms. Perfect for whisky and art lovers, discerning collectors, and those seeking an exclusive gift, this unique collaboration makes a special addition to any collection - or a very special gift to share this Christmas.
Joanna explains: “These ‘mini’ series of acrylic paintings are inspired by my journeys through the stunning Highlands of Scotland. They are, for me, visual snapshots of vast landscapes, quiet coves, wide beaches, purple heathers, bracken mountains and magenta strips of roadside willowherb - fleeting moments captured like quick notes in a diary, memories of scenes I choose not to forget.”
Tasting Notes: The Snug Exclusive SPEY Artist Expression
A mature single malt from our artisan Speyside Distillery
Colour: Rich amber with glimmers of deep mahogany, reflecting its well-aged character.
Nose: Opens with sweet, nutty notes of walnuts before unfolding into layers of rich, fruity aromas. Subtle hints of dried black grapes add depth and sophistication.
Palate: A rounded and elegant flavour profile featuring ripe plums and gentle undertones of light toffee. The texture is smooth, with a balanced sweetness that lingers.
Finish: Long and satisfying, with echoes of dark chocolate and lingering toffee sweetness intertwined with dried fruits, leaving a warm and enduring impression.
